Autopatrol

I would like to overwrite an image file on Commons in order to upload a partial restoration made by me of it. I know that, from 2019 circa to the first months of 2021, I edited pages and overwrote files without following the rules and for this I extend to the community my deepest excuses; now, I have grown up and I am conscientious about what I do here. Thank you very much in advance. Jilligate (talk) 16:06, 3 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Edit count is still low. I'd definitely want to see more. Abzeronow (talk) 16:13, 3 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
On Commons or in the whole Wikipedia? Jilligate (talk) 16:27, 3 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
On Commons. Abzeronow (talk) 16:44, 3 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I have updated File:Wikimedia Foundation financial development.svg by overwriting several times and would like to continue doing so. Thank you. Spenden 1958 (talk) 18:35, 28 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I've added the template so you can now overwrite that file. Your edit count is far too low for this flag though. Abzeronow (talk) 18:51, 28 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I need to overwrite some files. Thank you. InterComMan (talk) 14:21, 25 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
A few entries on your talk page concern me. One is about unexplained reverts, and the other is a DR for a logo that doesn't appear to be simple. Abzeronow (talk) 17:06, 28 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose for now. Talk page entries concern me as well. --SHB2000 (talk) 09:44, 5 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Not done Please come back once the concerns raised above are addressed. Regards, Aafi (talk) 02:21, 8 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
User is making many correct edits about categorization of furniture, he/she seems experienced enough for autopatrol. --Sailko (talk) 13:56, 5 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I would like to be able to add higher quality versions of PD files which had their quality degraded by a bot, thanks! Wiiformii (talk) 02:43, 6 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I would like to make constructive edits to files descriptions and overwriting files with bad quality/room for improvement with better versions. Thank you. Wheatley2 (talk) 06:53, 6 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I asked for advice at WikiProject Maps on how to approach a map improvement project, and it was suggested that I request permission to overwrite files here. I don’t have nearly 500 edits on Commons, but I do have a 20-year history of 8,000 constructive edits on the English Wikipedia. I want to improve the maps of UN Security Council membership (one per year) in several ways: a) easily modifiable CSS styling instead of colouring dispersed throughout the files, b) consistent treatment of disputed territories in line with UN practice, c) consistent graphical details such as colours, borders and nominal size. For more details see my original request for advice. For work I’ve been doing recently to improve coverage of the United Nations, see this infobox template and this module I created (with documentation). (The template uses the maps I want to improve.) I'm replacing some icon images that need updating. I've replaced several of these before. Thanks, Squishyawaylittle6 (talk) 03:05, 8 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

AutoWikiBrowser access

[edit]

I occasionally come across categories that could use diffusion, usually alongside my work on Norwegian Bokmål Wikipedia (my home project). An example is Category:Light novels, which currently contains categories that would be a better fit for a "by title" category (already present) or files that would be better in a "Light novel logos" category, but that also have categories and files that require a manual overview to avoid miscategorization. I wish to not bother other users with such a task (due to the necessary manual overview), and I request access to AWB rights on Commons for these types of uncontroversial recategorizations. I am already somewhat familiar with using AWB on Norwegian Bokmål Wikipedia, where I also mainly use it for recategorization. It is a tool I only occasionally use, and I don't expect it to be a tool of frequent use on Commons, either, but that would be useful nonetheless when using HotCat becomes a bit too tedious, as my time could be used more productively. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. Thank you for your consideration! EdoAug (talk) 02:46, 1 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
