English: Lucarnes (sometimes Lucans) are protruding dormers or porches on the side of a warehouse, above doorways on upper floors. They contain a hoist for loading goods.
Nederlands: Lucarnes zijn uitstekende dakkapellen of portalen aan de gevel van een (pak)huis, boven deuropeningen op de bovenste verdiepingen. Ze bevatten een takel voor het laden van goederen. Zie Category:Lifting beams voor hijsbalken, dus zonder een overkapping.
